Meet The Team

I'm Beth, Artistic Director and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Square Pegs Arts. I strategically and creatively head up the Charity, which includes leading the organisation, managing the team, fundraising, partnerships and making Artistic and strategic decisions. I co-founded Square Pegs in 2005.

Since getting my BA degree in Theatre, Film & Television, I have had extensive experience writing, making and directing Disabled-led Theatre, as well as a diverse background in Arts Development, Event Management, Community Arts, and as a Theatre Practitioner. I am passionate about promoting equity and access, celebrating diversity, and social activism.

My favourite Square Pegs moments are seeing people achieve things they never thought they could. We've seen so many transformations over the years and being part of that makes me so proud of what we do.

When I'm not at Pegs, you'll usually find me having adventures with my daughter Harmony! I also run a book club and, along with my love of Theatre and the Arts, I enjoy eating cheese, getting tattooed, and swimming in the sea!

I’m Molly, the General Manager and Producer at Square Pegs, and I’ve been part of the team since 2022. I studied Drama and Theatre at the University of Kent, and since graduating in 2020, I’ve been producing theatre and film, including projects for the BBC and BFI Network. In 2023, I was proud to receive Best Producer at the Women’s X Festival for my short film Barricade.

One of my favourite Square Pegs highlights has been working on the Transforming Leadership project with Access All Areas. I had the pleasure of supporting two incredible leaders over two years and travelling with them to London and Nottingham for their residencies.

When I’m not at Pegs, you’ll find me in Norfolk with my family or starting a new craft I’ll probably never finish.

I am Paul and I’m the Music Leader and resident composer for Square Pegs Arts. I’ve been involved with the charity since 2009. My start in music was as a classically trained choral chorister which allowed me to perform in prestigious venues all over the UK including Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral. After school I took a gap decade to tour internationally as the frontman of a signed rock band before becoming a mature student, achieving a first class music degree from the University where I also later completed my PhD.

My Square Pegs Arts Highlight so far must be the Kent Album Project and witnessing music bringing people together from the entire county.

When I’m not at Pegs you’ll find me performing, teaching, lecturing, directing choirs, or writing music for various groups and organisations.

I'm Lily, and I am the Drama and Theatre Director at Square Pegs Arts.

I started working with Square Pegs in 2018, but volunteered all the way back in 2011. I trained in Dance at Addict Dance Academy and earned a BA in Drama and Theatre Studies from the University of Kent. As a freelance theatre maker, I’ve worked on Edinburgh Fringe productions, co-founded BINT Theatre Company, and am writing the book for the shortlisted UK musical At the Centre, while growing in my role at Square Pegs. I am driven by new and experimental theatre-making and love to see how disabled- led theatre can impact the artistic landscape.


It's almost impossible to choose a Square Pegs highlight as there are so many, but most recently I had a blast creating 'tis butter jest' with the Theatre Company, particularly the unconventional tarot reading.

When I'm not at Pegs you'll find me either in another rehearsal room or at the yard shovelling horse poo. Very therapeutic.

Hi, I'm Sadie and I'm an associate artist at Square Pegs. I run the Maidstone Juniors and Seniors groups and Canterbury adults and Dover adults.
I have worked at Square Pegs for 8 years. I live in Folkestone and love being by the sea. My favourite things are: camping, playing epic board games, travelling, good food, good company, time with my family and sea swimming!

There are so many things I love about working at Square Pegs. Each week is a joy and I feel very lucky to call it my work. My absolute favourite thing is seeing members grow with confidence throughout their time at Pegs.

Howdy partner!! I am Cherie, a London born creative who moved to Canterbury for University and quickly fell in love with the lively arts scene in Kent.

I started volunteering with the Drama groups and Film Club in 2017 and then quickly became a member of staff working with the Theatre Company. Since then my involvement has grown and now I act as creative support for many groups as well as coordinating and facilitating too.

I graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University in Drama and Education Studies and since then I have toured an original piece of theatre in London and Kent. In 2019, I founded Black Women of Canterbury Book Club, and I have had some artwork displayed as part of a Margate Black Pride exhibition. I have produced some Kent based multicultural arts festivals and am particularly proud of my outreach work delivering healthy relationship workshops in schools via a domestic abuse charity.

A highlight of mine was the first ever show I volunteered in- it was just such a joyous, creative, accessible and inclusive celebration and I knew it that moment I’d found my people.

When I’m not at Pegs you’ll find me exercising, reading, creating something or spending time with my sweet sweet family and friends.

Hello! I’m Breanna and I am the Project Assistant at Square Pegs Arts. Before getting this role in 2022, I had been volunteering for 10 years beforehand and loved every minute of it!

I had previously worked at a weekend theatre school, teaching drama, song and dance to 4-18 year olds. I studied at Kingston College for 4 years and graduated in 2022 with a BA in SFX Media Makeup.

My Square Pegs Arts highlight is participating in many shows throughout the years and seeing some of the current members grow up!

When I’m not at Pegs, you’ll find me curled up in a corner watching TV and crocheting- this is definitely best with a dog curled up next to you!

I started volunteering with Square Pegs Arts in 2010 and following a short break in 2020 to have my daughter, I returned later that year as an employee to my favourite charity as the Access and Safeguarding Co-ordinator.

I did my BA Hons in drama at Middlesex University but went into a career in the health and social care field, which fitted my situation and personality. I worked hard to promote disability rights and equal opportunities in both hands-on and management roles within this field and developed knowledge and expertise particularly in advocacy, communication and safeguarding.

My favourite Square Pegs moment is when one of our members who’d been coming for years finally got on stage and said their lines. It was a huge achievement and I know they were proud of themselves and their family members were too. We’re here to support people to build confidence, be bold, and feel loved. That moment I knew these outcomes were achievable and meaningful. It was the best feeling.

When i’m not at Pegs, you’ll find me at the yard, riding, mucking out and generally being outdoors in any weather; or at home, under a blanket reading a book.

I have been working as a Dramatherapist for Square Pegs since 2020, facilitating groups and individual therapy sessions. These sessions have supported Pegs members to build confidence, learn more about themselves and others and find new ways of expressing the challenging aspects of their lives. I am also developing the Square Pegs Dramatherapy service with a vision of offering therapy to a wider scope of Square Pegs participants.

I find my job extremely rewarding and particularly enjoy supporting the mental health of young people through play and creativity.

Adam Glen is a multidisciplinary artist from Gillingham, who delves into immersive and autobiographical experiences, emphasising engaging audience interaction. His portfolio includes directing "Philip21," a BBC-commissioned multi-path film, and contributing to an augmented reality boat ride, "Voyage of the Ancient Beasts." Additionally, Adam played a crucial role in content creation and assistance for Square Pegs' film "Circus of Unkindness."

Adam consistently integrates experimental technology to convey rich lived experiences, showcasing his keen interest in digital storytelling and innovation. In 2023, he worked on several wellbeing and heritage projects with a focus on tech and empathetic storytelling. Adam also plays an integral role in assisting Square Pegs' monthly film club, held at the Gulbenkian Arts Centre, where members gather to watch, discuss, and review recent screenings.

I am Hannah and I work as an external evaluator for SPA. I originally assisted another evaluator back in 2020 but have been working this time around for SPA since April 2024. I've worked in research and evaluation for many years, focusing on creativity and working with neurodivergent and learning disabled people, in both a community and research context. I got an Drama and Theatre Studies degree and completed a PhD from the University of Kent. I am also Leader of Learning for a charity, Peer Productions, where I run a drama and theatre course for neurodivergent and learning disabled young people.

My favourite Square Pegs highlight has been getting helped to sing in key by members, when I've come along to Singers. When I'm not at Pegs, you'll find me enjoying a walk, reading a book or watching a new series.
