Holiday Projects

We regularly host stand-alone music-based holiday projects, where participants come together to learn new skills, make friends and music together in a series of workshops, usually spread over a few days. The workshops are led by industry professionals and supported by our amazing team.

Some of our past holiday workshops have included:

Sound Design – creating music and sound effects for film and television, composing soundtracks and performing it all live in real-time over a show reel of different styles and genres, orchestra pit style in front of a cinema audience.

Band Camp – experiencing playing in an musical ensemble, learning songs on a variety of instruments, engineering live sound and sharing skills before performing a gig at the end of the week.

Making a Music Video – Learning how to storyboard, shoot and edit music videos, including using stop-frame animation and professional editing software.

Songwriting – learning how to write lyrics, create chord progressions and compose melodies before putting it all together and recording the songs in a recording studio.

Jingle Writing – composing and recording short but catchy pieces of music to advertise different products, learning about the psychology of sound and its connection to emotion and pitching genres of music to specific demographics.
